General description

We are going to delve into the history of our country and give you a brief review of the most important events that shaped Buenos Aires. This tour is ideal for those who want to know the highlights of the city, its historic, commercial and touristic neighborhoods and how this great metropolis began to develop from its beginning.

Main points of the tour:

  • General San Martin Monument at San Martin Square.

This is our meeting point, where we will try the bicycles and helmets. This historic square has been the scenario of great historical events; it housed the old bullring and was the place where the national regiment that liberated Argentina, Chile and Peru was formed. The monument to The General San Martin (Pater Patriae our Father of the Fatherland) is located in one of the central nighborhoods of Buenos Aires where you may also find the old English train station.

  • Malvinas Soldiers Memorial and Monumental Tower.

Going down from the top of the square, we are going to tell you about the only war that Argentina went through in the 20th century. Find the war memorial and also know the reasons for its location and the history of the tower that England gave us.

  • Madero Harbour and Puente de la Mujer (Woman’s bridge).

We are going to cycle through the newest and most expensive neighborhood in the city and one of the most visited by locals and tourists. We will be delighted with the history of its old docks, today recycled and turned into restaurants, lofts and high-class offices. We will also have a stop in front of the famous "Puente de la Mujer" that has become an icon of the neighborhood and of the city of Buenos Aires.

  • Ecological Reserve.

We will visit for approximately 10 minutes this unique green area very close to the center of the city where nature and environment are protected. It is probably the most similar landscape for its flora and fauna that the first Spanish navigators first found. Only closed on Mondays, rainy days and after storms.

  • La Boca - Caminito - Boca Juniors Stadium.

From Puerto Madero we will pedal to La Boca, the port district by tradition with its own stamp that reflects the great waves of inmigration. It is the cradle of tango, the colorful tenement houses (conventillos), the brothels and typical cafes. Here "Caminito" is a must, so we will take a little break to walk along this unique and unforgettable picturesque place. The stop is around 25/35 minutes so you can walk along the most famous street in the city. Then, we will go to the Boca Juniors stadium to tell you the story of the most popular national team and its football stadium.

  • Lezama Park - San Telmo.

Ride only a few blocks and experience completely different neighborhoods with every corner you turn. Our way back to the starting point is not the same route and will offer you more sights and sceneries riding through famous neighborhoods like San Telmo, the oldest district of Buenos Aires -inhabited by the aristocratic families until the yellow fever of 1871. It is one of the main places to know the historical heritage of the city and its foundation.

  • May Square.

Our last stop is the most important square, where almost all the major political events in the country have taken place. You will get to know our National Government House (Casa Rosada), the Revolution Museum (Cabildo), the Metropolitan Cathedral and the main public buildings. Our tour guides don't just know everything about the city, they can also tell you from their own experience what it means to be a "porteño".
